You No Longer
Need to Be Afraid

Personalized Sedation Dentistry?

If you’re one of the thousands of people in middle Tennessee who suffer from dental anxiety, it’s important to know that you’re not alone. That nagging sense of unease you get from avoiding the dentist for far too long, not to mention the fear that precedes actually forcing yourself to go to the dentist?

Imagine never having to experience those feelings again. Our dental team can help you.

Here at Laden & Batra Dentistry, Dr. Batra possesses advanced training, certification and equipment to deliver personalized sedation solutions. A popular treatment option called IV sedation dentistry can help eliminate your dental anxiety and fear, allowing you to relax and feel comfortable throughout your entire appointment.

Due to the type of medications used, you’ll remember little-to-nothing of your time in the dental chair the next day. It’s that simple.

We can work more efficiently and complete more treatment in fewer visits. It’s a great option if you need a large amount of dental care completed at one time, including dental implants, crown work, routine extractions, dentures, filling cavities, gum care, tooth whitening, bonding and typical hygiene.

The Treatment
Process

1

After a consultation and health history review are completed

2

You and Dr. Batra will decide on a treatment plan that's right for you.

3

He will select the best sedation medications and doses to meet your individual needs.

4

Often a pill is given to take the night before the appointment and/or one hour prior.

5

You will then arrive with your companion at the office already feeling relaxed.

6

Once there, Dr. Batra will then administer the IV medication.

Who can Benefit from Sedation Dentistry?

People who have:

Dental Fear or Anxiety:

Sedation dentistry offers a calm experience, transforming dental visits into stress-free sessions, particularly for those overwhelmed by the mere thought of a dentist's chair.

Traumatic Dental Experiences:

Individuals who've endured painful or upsetting dental procedures can find solace in sedation dentistry, making future visits less daunting and emotionally taxing.

Difficulty with Numbing:

For patients who struggle to achieve proper numbness through local anesthetics alone, sedation offers an effective solution, ensuring a pain-free treatment process.

Extreme Teeth Sensitivity:

Those with highly sensitive teeth can experience discomfort-free dental care, as sedation dentistry minimizes or eliminates the acute sensations associated with dental work.

Extensive Dental Work Needs:

Patients requiring significant dental procedures can benefit from sedation, allowing for longer, more complex treatments to be performed with ease in fewer appointments.

Gag Reflex Issues:

Sedation can significantly reduce the gag reflex, making dental treatments more comfortable and manageable for patients who gag easily.

Aversion to Dental Environment:

For those distressed by the sensory aspects of dental clinics, such as the sounds, sights, or smells, sedation dentistry provides an oblivious state, detaching them from the environment.

Embarrassment Over Dental Condition:

Individuals self-conscious or ashamed about their dental health can undergo necessary treatments without the added stress, as sedation dentistry ensures a judgement-free and supportive experience.
