Dr. Avinav Batra is originally from India and moved to the US to further hone his dental skills. After graduating from dental school in India, he attended Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA, graduating summa cum laude. Coming from a family of doctors, he always wanted to be in a patient-focused environment, and fell in love with dentistry.

His wife and him moved to the Nashville area when she started ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital. The warmth and welcoming nature of the people convinced them to make it their permanent home.
Dr. Batra is passionate about understanding his patients needs and desires to provide excellent care on all levels. He is highly competent in the area of root canals, implants, dentures and sedation dentistry. Consistent with longstanding philosophy of Laden Family Dentistry, he believes in providing state of the art, relationship-based, comprehensive care that is tailored to fit into the lives and budgets of their patients.

In his free time, Dr. Batra enjoys golfing, playing soccer, working out and trying to care for their cats while his wife is working on her fellowship at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
